Line Dance

Dancing in rows. Line dancers stand in one or more lines or rows, usually all facing the same direction. They move through the same steps together without holding hands or touching, which makes it different from circle dancing.

Each dance has a song. Every line dance is connected to a specific song that tells the dancers when to move. Famous examples like the Macarena and the Electric Slide have been popular in America for many years.

Same moves, same time. Everyone in a line dance learns the exact same choreography, or planned movements. This means if you learn the steps, you can join in and dance with anyone else who knows that particular dance.

Part of modern culture. Line dances like the Electric Slide have become such a big part of American culture that they're still danced at weddings, parties, and celebrations today.
