Huge sporting home. The MCG is one of the world's largest stadiums and sits in a park called Yarra Park in Melbourne, Australia. It's so well known that locals just call it 'the G'.

Two sports. The ground hosts both cricket and Australian rules football, which is a unique sport kind of like rugby mixed with basketball. Teams from the AFL, the Big Bash League cricket competition, and even Australia's national cricket team play here.

Over 170 years old. The Melbourne Cricket Club founded the MCG way back in 1853, and that same club still manages and runs it today. It's been a sporting landmark for generations of Australians.

Government owned. While the Melbourne Cricket Club operates the stadium day to day, the Victorian Government actually owns it through a special organization called the MCG Trust.
