Massive Size. At its height, the Mongol Empire stretched from the Sea of Japan all the way to Eastern Europe, making it the largest connected empire the world has ever seen.
Covered Many Continents. The empire reached from Siberia in the north down into the Indian subcontinent, and westward as far as the Levant and the Carpathian Mountains, touching Europe, Asia, and lands in between.
Started in Mongolia. The empire began in present-day Mongolia in East Asia before expanding outward to conquer and control enormous territories across the medieval world.
