Mononykus

Tiny but mighty. Mononykus was only about 3 to 4 feet long and weighed less than 8 pounds, making it one of the smallest meat-eating dinosaurs ever discovered.

Fluffy feathered friend. This dinosaur had shaggy feathers covering its body, which helped keep it warm and may have helped it blend in while hunting.

Specialized termite digger. Mononykus had highly unusual forelimbs with one large claw on each hand, which it probably used to tear open termite mounds and insect colonies to find food.

Built for speed. With long, thin legs and a lightweight body, Mononykus was built for running quickly through the ancient Mongolian landscape hunting for its favorite meals.
