Two ocean coasts. Morocco touches both the Mediterranean Sea to the north and the Atlantic Ocean to the west, making it a special gateway between Europe and Africa.

Capital and biggest cities. Rabat is the capital where the government sits, while Casablanca is the largest and busiest city where millions of people live and work.

37 million people. Morocco is home to about 37 million people who speak Arabic, Amazigh (Tamazight), and French, creating a wonderfully diverse nation.

Mountains and deserts. The Atlas Mountains run through the middle of the country, and the Sahara Desert covers much of the south, giving Morocco amazing geography.

Located in the Maghreb. Morocco is part of the Maghreb region, which is the northwestern corner of Africa and includes several neighboring countries.
