Colorful costumes. Morris dancers dress up in bright, fancy outfits and wear bell pads on their shins or shoes that jingle as they move and leap around.

Musicians lead the way. A band or musician dressed in costume plays music that tells the dancers when to step, spin, and perform their choreographed moves together.

Props and props. Dancers often carry sticks, swords, or handkerchiefs that they wave and tap in time with the music, making the dance even more fun to watch.

Rhythmic stepping. The whole dance is built on dancers moving their feet to a beat while doing planned-out figures as a group, creating a synchronized and energetic performance.

English heritage. Morris dancing comes from England and has been a beloved folk tradition for hundreds of years, passed down from generation to generation.
