Elves make gifts. According to the legend, Santa's workshop is staffed by Christmas elves who work year-round to create and prepare all the gifts that Santa will deliver. These magical helpers are said to be busy crafting toys and presents in Santa's North Pole home.

Reindeer pull sleigh. Flying reindeer are said to pull Santa's sleigh through the night sky as he travels to deliver gifts. The most famous reindeer is Rudolph, whose bright red nose guides the sleigh through darkness.

Visits every home. Santa is believed to travel the entire world during just one night, stopping at homes where children celebrate Christmas. This magical journey happens while most children are asleep.
