Tiny Puzzle Pieces. A mosaic is created by arranging small colored stones, glass, or ceramic tiles like a giant puzzle. Artists use plaster or mortar to stick all these pieces together onto a wall or floor, and when you step back, they form an amazing picture or pattern.
