A Queen of Egypt. Nefertiti was the great royal wife of Pharaoh Akhenaten during Egypt's 18th Dynasty, meaning she was one of the most important women in the entire kingdom. She lived during a time when Egypt had more wealth and power than almost any other civilization.

Changed Religion Forever. Nefertiti and Akhenaten made a huge change to Egyptian religion by promoting Atenism, a religion centered on worshipping the sun disc called the Aten. This was radical because Egyptians had worshipped many gods for thousands of years, but this new religion focused on just one.

Ruled in Luxury. Nefertiti reigned during one of the wealthiest periods in all of ancient Egyptian history, which means she had access to incredible riches, beautiful palaces, and tremendous power.

Connected to the Divine. Nefertiti's family believed the sun disc had a direct connection to their royal household, making them special intermediaries between the sun god and the people of Egypt.
