Sharp teeth hunter. Nothosaurus had lots of sharp, pointed teeth perfect for catching slippery fish and other small sea creatures in the warm Triassic oceans.
Lived in ancient seas. These reptiles swam in the Tethys Ocean, a massive sea that covered areas that are now Europe, North Africa, and China.
Long and flexible body. Nothosaurus had a long body and a paddle-like tail that helped it move smoothly through the water to chase down its prey.
Really ancient animal. Nothosaurus lived between 245 and 228 million years ago, long before dinosaurs even appeared on Earth.
