Hammering poles deep. Pile drivers use massive force to push giant poles called piles straight down into soil. These piles can be made of wood, steel, or hollow steel tubes, and they go so deep they create rock-solid foundations that buildings can sit on without sinking.
Works underwater too. Pile drivers don't just work on dry land - they can hammer piles deep underwater to build piers, docks, and bridge supports. The piles stay underwater or underground where nobody sees them, but they're doing the hard work of keeping structures safe.
