Spring celebration date. Qingming falls on April 4, 5, or 6 each year, marking the 15th day after the Spring Equinox on the traditional Chinese calendar.

Tomb cleaning tradition. Families visit their ancestors' gravesites during Qingming to tidy them up and show respect for those who came before them.

Special offerings given. People bring traditional food dishes, burn joss sticks (fragrant incense), and burn joss paper as gifts to honor their ancestors' spirits.
