Night hunters. Quolls are carnivorous marsupials that are primarily nocturnal, meaning they hunt and explore under the cover of darkness and spend most of their days resting safely in dens.

Australian marsupials. Of the six species of quoll alive today, four live in Australia and two live in New Guinea, making them unique to these regions in the world.

Ancient ancestors. Scientists have discovered fossil remains of two more quoll species that lived millions of years ago during the Pliocene and Pleistocene periods in Queensland, Australia.

Spotted striped bodies. Quolls are known for their spotted or striped coats, which help them blend in with trees and undergrowth as they hunt for food at night.
