Rainbow bark colors. The rainbow eucalyptus has peeling bark in shades of green, blue, orange, red, and yellow. The colors change as the bark ages and peels away to reveal fresh layers underneath.
Rainforest home. Unlike most eucalyptus trees that love dry climates, the rainbow eucalyptus is the only eucalyptus species that naturally lives in humid rainforests. It grows in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea.
Super tall tree. Rainbow eucalyptus trees grow very tall in their rainforest homes, reaching heights that tower above other plants around them.
Crosses the equator. The rainbow eucalyptus is special because its natural range extends into the Northern Hemisphere, which is unusual for Australian eucalyptus trees.
