Massive floating palace. The RMS Queen Mary was a huge British ocean liner that sailed from 1936 to 1967, carrying passengers back and forth across the Atlantic Ocean between Britain and New York.

Built in Scotland. Workers at the John Brown shipyard in Clydebank, Scotland constructed this incredible vessel, which was an amazing feat of engineering for its time.

Sister ship companion. The Queen Mary worked alongside another famous liner called the RMS Queen Elizabeth, and together they ran a weekly service carrying wealthy passengers across the ocean.

Still floating today. After decades of ocean travel, the Queen Mary retired and now sits in Long Beach, California, where visitors can explore it as a hotel, museum, and event space.

British ocean pride. The Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth were Britain's answer to fancy new ships built by Germany, Italy, and France in the 1920s and 1930s.
