Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

Created in 1939. Rudolph was invented by Robert L. May, and his glowing red nose made him stand out from all of Santa's other reindeer right from the start.

Nose shines bright. Rudolph's nose glows so powerfully that it can light the way through thick fog, snow, and harsh winter weather when Santa's sleigh flies on Christmas Eve.

Teased then triumphant. At first, the other reindeer made fun of Rudolph because his red nose looked different, but they eventually discovered how special and helpful he really was.

The ninth reindeer. Rudolph joined Santa's team as the youngest and newest member, leading the sleigh in front of the other eight famous reindeer.

Symbol of acceptance. Rudolph's story teaches children that being different is actually a strength, and that everyone has special qualities that make them important.
