Saurolophus

Giant plant-eater. Saurolophus was a huge hadrosaurid dinosaur, one of the biggest plant-eating dinosaurs of its time, munching on ferns and other vegetation across North America and Asia during the Late Cretaceous period.

Spike-like crest. This dinosaur had a cool pointed crest that stuck up and back from its skull, making it instantly recognizable among other dinosaurs and possibly helping it attract mates or communicate with its herd.

Found on two continents. Saurolophus is one of the rare dinosaurs known from fossils in both North America (what is now Canada) and Asia (what is now Mongolia), showing that some dinosaurs lived across huge areas of the ancient world.

Could walk two ways. Unlike some dinosaurs that only walked on two legs or four, Saurolophus could switch between both, walking on its two back legs when it wanted to move fast or dropping to all fours to graze for food.

Lived 75 million years ago. Saurolophus roamed Earth during the Late Cretaceous period, living in environments that are now the Horseshoe Canyon in Canada and the Nemegt formations in Mongolia.
