Huge ocean hunter. Tylosaurus was one of the largest meat-eating reptiles ever to live, with some species stretching over 43 feet long, about as long as a school bus.

Ruled the seas. These fierce predators swam in the oceans during the Late Cretaceous period, patrolling the waters that covered much of North America and Europe.

Powerful swimmer. With its long body and strong tail, Tylosaurus could chase down and catch large fish, turtles, and other marine reptiles with deadly speed and power.

Found worldwide. Fossils of Tylosaurus have been discovered in rocks from the ancient North Atlantic Ocean, including sites in North America, Europe, and Africa.

Many species. Scientists have identified at least ten different species of Tylosaurus, showing that these giant reptiles thrived in the oceans for millions of years.
