Mamenchisaurus

Impossibly long neck. Mamenchisaurus had a neck that was almost as long as the rest of its entire body combined, making it one of the most extreme long-necked dinosaurs ever discovered.

Massive size. These dinosaurs grew to about 50 to 85 feet long, roughly the length of three school buses parked end to end, and some species may have reached up to 115 feet.

Found in China. Mamenchisaurus fossils have been discovered in the Sichuan Basin and Yunnan Province in China, giving us clues about dinosaurs that lived in ancient Asia.

Jurassic and Cretaceous ages. Different species lived during different time periods, from the Late Jurassic era to the Early Cretaceous, spanning millions of years of Earth's history.

Plant-eating giant. Like all sauropods, Mamenchisaurus was an herbivore that likely munched on tall trees and high vegetation that smaller dinosaurs could never reach.
