Incredibly long dinosaur. Sauroposeidon was a sauropod, meaning it had a super long neck, a tiny head, and massive legs to support its enormous body. Scientists believe it could have been over 100 feet long from nose to tail.

Found in multiple places. Fossils of Sauroposeidon have been discovered in Oklahoma, Wyoming, and Texas, showing that these giants roamed across different parts of North America during the Cretaceous Period.

Left giant footprints. Scientists found not just bones but also fossilized trackways made by Sauroposeidon, which are like ancient footprints that tell us where these dinosaurs actually walked millions of years ago.

Ate plants all day. Like all sauropods, Sauroposeidon was a herbivore that spent most of its time munching on tall trees and plants to fuel its massive body.

Heavy like a whale. Even though we don't have complete skeletons, scientists estimate Sauroposeidon weighed as much as 10 elephants, making it one of the heaviest land animals that ever lived.
