Perfect Balance Point. A seesaw works because it has a pivot point right in the middle, like the fulcrum of a lever. When one person pushes down on their side, the other side lifts up into the air.

Gravity Does the Work. You don't need to be the same weight as your partner for a seesaw to work well. A heavier person sitting closer to the pivot can balance a lighter person sitting farther away, just like how weight and distance both matter.
