Behind the falls. You can actually walk through a small cave hidden right behind Seljalandsfoss's water curtain. It feels like stepping into another world while the water crashes down around you.

Drops 60 meters. Seljalandsfoss plunges about 197 feet (60 meters) straight down, which is taller than a 20-story building. All that water comes from the Seljalands River.

Fed by glacial melt. The water tumbling down Seljalandsfoss starts its journey in Eyjafjallajökull, a massive glacier sitting on top of a volcano. This glacier feeds the entire Seljalands River.

Right on the highway. You can spot Seljalandsfoss from Iceland's famous Ring Road (Route 1), which circles the entire country. Its location right by the main road makes it one of Iceland's most visited waterfalls.
