Snowflake Moray

Spotted like snow. The snowflake moray gets its name from its white body covered in dark spots and patches, making it look like snow mixed with shadows.

Blunt crushing teeth. Unlike many eels with sharp fangs, the snowflake moray has flat, blunt teeth perfect for smashing hard shells and exoskeletons of crabs and shrimp.

Crustacean specialist. This eel hunts and eats crustaceans like crabs, shrimp, and lobsters, using its strong jaws to crack through their tough armor.

Ocean home. Snowflake morays live in salt water, often hiding in rocky crevices and coral reefs in warm tropical oceans around the world.

Weird eye placement. Like all morays, it has small eyes but an excellent sense of smell and touch to find food in dark reef hiding spots.
