Housed in Your Backbone. The spinal cord sits safely inside a tunnel made by the bones of your spine. These bones stack on top of each other like building blocks to protect this delicate bundle of nerves.

Filled with Special Fluid. Inside the spinal cord is a hollow center channel that holds cerebrospinal fluid, which acts like a cushion to protect the nerves and keep them healthy.
