Team Pursuit

Two teams race. In team pursuit, two teams start on opposite sides of a circular velodrome track and ride toward each other, with each team trying to catch or beat the other team.

Up to four riders. Each team can have up to four cyclists working together, taking turns at the front to lead while the others draft behind to save energy.

Catching wins faster. A team wins immediately if they catch the other team before the finish line, or whoever crosses the line first wins if nobody gets caught.

Olympic sport. Team pursuit is competed at the Olympics and World Championships, where countries send their fastest track cyclists to represent them.

Similar to individual. Team pursuit works like the individual pursuit race, except riders work together as a group instead of racing solo.
