Epic granite towers. The park's centerpiece is the Cordillera del Paine, a group of mountains with breathtaking rocky peaks that rise from the landscape like giant stone fingers.

Where two worlds meet. Torres del Paine sits in a special transition zone between the Magellanic subpolar forests and the Patagonian Steppes, so you can see totally different plants and landscapes.

Name means blue. 'Paine' comes from the native Tehuelche language of the people who lived there, and it's pronounced PIE-neh.

Home to water everywhere. The park is packed with glaciers, lakes, and rivers that create some of the most beautiful scenery in the world.

Protected since 1959. Chile established this as a national park over 60 years ago to preserve this incredible wild region for everyone to enjoy.
