Cool Facts
Three wheels for balance. Unlike a bicycle with two wheels, a tricycle has three wheels arranged so you won't tip over easily. This makes it perfect for younger riders who are still learning to balance.
Pedal powered. You make a tricycle move by pushing pedals with your feet, just like a bicycle. The pedals are connected to gears that turn the wheels.
Super stable design. Because tricycles have a wide base with two wheels in the back (or sometimes two in front), they stay upright even when you're standing still or turning.
Great for learning. Many kids ride tricycles before bicycles because the extra wheel means less work to balance. This gives you confidence as you develop your riding skills.
Still makes you tired. Pedaling a tricycle is good exercise because you're using your leg muscles to push the pedals and move the vehicle forward.
