Temperature and conditions. Weather describes how hot or cold it is, how much moisture is in the air, what clouds are doing, and whether the atmosphere is stable or stormy right now in your exact location.

Happens in the troposphere. Almost all weather happens in the troposphere, which is the lowest layer of Earth's atmosphere, just below a layer called the stratosphere.

Day-to-day changes. Weather is what happens from day to day, while climate is the average weather pattern over many years in one place.

Powered by the sun. The sun heats Earth's atmosphere and oceans unevenly, creating winds, clouds, and storms that make weather constantly change.
