Five dice roll. Players roll five dice up to three times each turn, trying to make winning combinations like three of a kind or a full house.

Score card strategy. You fill in different scoring categories on your card, and the trick is deciding which combination to use for each slot to get the most points.

Yahtzee jackpot. The best possible roll is called a Yahtzee: all five dice showing the same number, which gives you a huge bonus of 50 points.

Game from 1956. Edwin S. Lowe invented and sold Yahtzee starting in 1956, but it was based on even older dice games like Yacht and Poker Dice.

Play with others. It works great with 2 to 4 players, and everyone takes turns rolling to see who can score the most points in 13 rounds.
