Rainbow of colors. Zinnias bloom in red, pink, orange, yellow, purple, white, and even bicolor combinations. You can plant them to create a garden bursting with color all summer long.

Twelve perfect petals. Most zinnias have exactly 12 petals arranged in a beautiful circle around the center. This symmetry makes them look almost like they were drawn by an artist.

Long, sturdy stems. Zinnias grow on tall, strong stems that are perfect for cutting and bringing inside your home. A single zinnia can last for weeks in a vase of water.

Named after a scientist. The flower is named after Johann Gottfried Zinn, a German scientist from the 1700s who studied plants. It's pretty cool that a beautiful garden flower has a scientist's name.

Butterfly magnet. Zinnias attract butterflies and bees because they're full of colorful petals and nectar. Planting zinnias is a great way to help pollinators visit your garden.
