Almost 7 kilometers high. At 6,967 meters, Aconcagua is so tall that the air gets very thin near the top, making it harder to breathe. Climbers need special training to handle the altitude.
Super prominent peak. Aconcagua is the second-most topographically prominent mountain on Earth, meaning it rises dramatically from its base without nearby peaks blocking the view.
