Born from fire. The Aleutian Islands are a chain of volcanic islands, with 14 main islands and 55 smaller ones. Many of these volcanoes are still active today, constantly shaping the islands.

Stretching far. These islands arc across the North Pacific Ocean like a giant stepping stone from Alaska toward Russia. They span a huge distance, creating a natural bridge between two continents.

Windswept and wild. The Aleutians are cold, remote, and extremely windy places where few people live. The harsh weather and isolation make them one of Alaska's most dramatic and untamed regions.

Home to amazing animals. Sea otters, seals, bald eagles, and countless seabirds make the Aleutians their home. The islands' rich waters and remote cliffs provide perfect habitats for these creatures.
