Biggest desert in Asia. The Arabian Desert covers about 2.3 million square kilometers, making it the fourth largest desert on Earth and by far the biggest one in Asia.
Ocean of sand. At the southern edge lies the Rub' al-Khali, one of the longest stretches of unbroken sand dunes in the entire world, where dunes can tower as tall as skyscrapers.
Spans five countries. This enormous desert stretches from Yemen all the way to Iraq, spreading across the whole Arabian Peninsula like a giant blanket of sand.
Home to hardy creatures. Despite the intense heat and dryness, camels, desert foxes, and many other animals have adapted to survive in the Arabian Desert's harsh conditions.
Part of Sahara system. The Arabian Desert is actually connected to the Sahara Desert, making them part of one huge desert system that stretches across North Africa and into Asia.
