Super dramatic style. Baroque art used wild curves, bold colors, and crazy detailed decorations to make people feel big emotions. Everything was designed to WOW you.

Religious power move. The Catholic Church pushed Baroque art to show how amazing and powerful their faith was, partly to compete with plainer Protestant churches.

Music with personality. Baroque composers like Bach and Vivaldi wrote complex, emotional music with lots of fancy flourishes that danced around a main melody.

All about curves. Baroque buildings, paintings, and sculptures loved twisting shapes, swirling decorations, and things that looked like they were moving even when they were frozen in stone or paint.

Spread across Europe. This style popped up in Italy, Spain, France, and other countries, though not everyone loved it the same way, especially in Lutheran regions.
