Spinning separates stuff. When a centrifuge spins really fast, it pushes heavier particles outward like riders on a spinning carnival ride, while lighter stuff gets pushed toward the center.
Heavy sinks, light floats. Denser (heavier) substances end up at the bottom of the tube, and less dense (lighter) substances float to the top, sorting everything by weight.
Lab scientists use them. Scientists use centrifuges in laboratories to separate blood into different parts, purify mixtures, and clean up fluids by removing unwanted particles.
Force does the work. The spinning creates centrifugal force, which is like an invisible hand pushing things outward, making separation happen much faster than it would naturally.
