Massive meat-eater. Ceratosaurus was a huge carnivorous theropod dinosaur, meaning it walked on two powerful back legs and ate other dinosaurs for food.

Found in Colorado. The first Ceratosaurus skeleton was discovered in Garden Park, Colorado, in 1884 by paleontologist Othniel Charles Marsh, and it was nearly complete, which gave scientists tons of information about this dinosaur.

Late Jurassic hunter. Ceratosaurus lived during the Late Jurassic period and roamed North America and Europe, hunting alongside other giant dinosaurs of that time.

Horn on its face. The name Ceratosaurus means 'horned lizard,' and it had a distinctive horn on its snout that made it look different from other theropod dinosaurs.
