Nasutoceratops

Seriously big nose. Nasutoceratops had a giant nose that stuck way out from its face, which is where it got its name meaning "large-nosed horned face." Scientists think the huge nose might have helped it smell things better or attract other dinosaurs.

Fossilized skin found. When paleontologists discovered Nasutoceratops in Utah, they didn't just find bones, they found rare impressions of actual dinosaur skin preserved in the rock. This helped scientists learn what the dinosaur's skin texture looked like.

Movie star dinosaur. Nasutoceratops became famous enough to appear in Jurassic World films, bringing this ancient Utah dinosaur to life on the big screen for millions of people.

76 million years old. This dinosaur lived during the Late Cretaceous period, about 76 million years ago, long before the famous T. rex ruled the Earth.

Found in Utah rocks. Nasutoceratops fossils were discovered in the Kaiparowits Formation deep inside Utah's Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument starting in 2006.
