A Murder to Solve. Cluedo is a game where players pretend to be detectives trying to figure out who killed someone, where the crime happened, and which weapon was used. Each player gets clues and has to work through the mystery to win.

Created in 1943. A British designer named Anthony E. Pratt invented Cluedo during World War II. The game was first made and sold by a company called Waddingtons in the United Kingdom starting in 1949.

Different Names Worldwide. In North America, this same game is called Clue instead of Cluedo. Even though it has different names depending on where you live, it's the exact same fun mystery game.

Set in a Grand Mansion. The game takes place in a fancy English mansion where suspects move around different rooms trying to solve the crime. Each location and each suspect has a story that helps you piece together what really happened.

Still Popular Today. Cluedo has been remade and updated many times since 1949, and now the American toy company Hasbro owns and makes it. Millions of kids and families still play it today because solving a mystery together is endlessly fun.
