Aiming for points. Players throw bean bags at a raised wooden board and earn points by either landing a bag on the board or getting it through the hole at the end. Different throws earn different point values.

Teams compete together. Cornhole is usually played by two people or two teams taking turns throwing their bags. Players on the same team work together to outscore their opponents.

Backyard favorite. This game became hugely popular across North America because it's easy to set up in parks, yards, and at outdoor events. You just need the board, bean bags, and some open space to play.

Simple but strategic. While the rules are easy to learn, cornhole has real strategy involved. Players have to think about angles, distance, and which bags their opponents might block.

Fabric bags matter. The bean bags are made of fabric and filled with beans or corn kernels, which is where the game got its name. The weight and softness of the bags help them land and slide on the board.
