Horses leap high. In show jumping, horse and rider teams race against the clock to jump over a series of jumps arranged in a course, trying not to knock down any rails or poles.

Competitions worldwide. Show jumping happens at horse shows all around the world, from local competitions to the Olympics, and it's governed by organizations like the United States Equestrian Federation.

Part of riding sports. Show jumping is one of several English riding sports, alongside eventing and hunter classes, and sometimes it's mixed in with other horse disciplines at big competitions.
