Highest in North America. Denali's summit reaches 20,310 feet above sea level, making it the tallest mountain peak in all of North America. That's almost 4 miles straight up into the sky!

Tallest base to peak. While Mount Everest is higher above sea level, Denali is the tallest mountain measured from base to peak on land, stretching an incredible 18,000 feet. This makes it unique among the world's greatest mountains.

Located in Alaska. You'll find Denali in the Alaska Range in the interior of Alaska, where it's the centerpiece of Denali National Park and Preserve. It's a wild, remote place where few people live.

Super prominent peak. Denali is the third most prominent and third-most isolated peak on Earth, meaning it stands out dramatically from its surroundings and is far away from other tall mountains. Only Mount Everest and Aconcagua rank higher in these categories.
