Ancient Chinese origin. The diabolo comes from a Chinese toy called the yo-yo that dates back centuries. It was used in China long before it became a circus favorite in Europe and America.

String and stick control. You spin a diabolo by flicking hand sticks that are connected by a string looped around the axle in the middle. The faster you move the sticks, the faster the diabolo spins and stays balanced.

Amazing trick possibilities. Diabolos can be tossed high in the air, caught on the string, and bounced between the sticks. Skilled performers can even spin multiple diabolos on a single string at the same time.

Whole body fun. Jugglers can make diabolos spin on different parts of their body, flip them with their feet, or pass them between performers. The tricks look like magic but come from practice and understanding how spin and momentum work.
