Shark behavior expert. Eugenie Clark spent her life studying sharks and discovered they could learn, recognize people, and weren't the mindless killers everyone believed. She proved that sharks have personalities and memories.

Scuba diving pioneer. Clark was one of the first scientists to use scuba diving to do research underwater instead of studying fish from boats. She showed the world that you could learn so much more by swimming alongside the creatures you study.

Fish super fan. Beyond sharks, Clark was fascinated by pufferfish and other fish in the Tetraodontiformes order. She loved how different fish species behaved and what made them special.
