Native to warm places. European rabbits originally lived wild in the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal) and southwestern France, where they still live today in their natural homes.

Traveled the whole world. Humans have taken European rabbits to hundreds of different locations around the globe, making them one of the most widely spread rabbit species.

Wildly different looks. European rabbits come in many sizes, shapes, and colors depending on where they live and what food they eat, so no two rabbits might look exactly alike.

Smaller than hares. These rabbits are generally smaller than European hares, their speedy cousins, though individual rabbits can vary quite a bit in how big they grow.
