Queen of the Gods. Hera ruled alongside Zeus as the most powerful goddess on Mount Olympus, the home of the twelve greatest gods in ancient Greek religion. She was the sister and wife of Zeus, making her the ultimate queen of all divine beings.

Goddess of Marriage. Hera protected marriages, women, and families in ancient Greece. People prayed to her for help with weddings and safe childbirth, and she was especially important to women during some of the most important moments of their lives.

Powerful and Vengeful. Hera was known for her fierce personality and quick anger when someone disrespected her or her authority. When Zeus fell in love with other goddesses or mortals, Hera's jealousy and clever punishments became the subject of many famous myths and stories.

Daughter of Titans. Hera was born to Cronus and Rhea, who were powerful Titans (even more ancient gods than the Olympians). She was part of an amazing family tree that showed the history of divine power in Greek mythology.

Honored in Temples. Ancient Greeks built grand temples dedicated to Hera across their lands, with the Temple of Hera being one of the most famous ancient structures. People made offerings and held festivals in her honor to show their respect.
