Mountain homelands. The Hmong people have lived for centuries in the mountainous regions of southwestern China and Southeast Asia, including Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, and Myanmar. These highlands have been central to their way of life and culture.

Global communities. While most Hmong live in Asia, significant diaspora communities have settled in the United States, Australia, France, and South America. This means Hmong culture and traditions are now shared across continents.

Chinese classification. In China, the Hmong people are officially classified as a sub-group of the larger Miao ethnic group. This classification reflects the complex history and cultural connections between these communities.

Strong traditions. The Hmong have maintained distinctive cultural practices, languages, and artistic traditions despite living in different countries. Their vibrant embroidery, festivals, and family values are celebrated worldwide.
