Built-in GPS. Homing pigeons can find their way home from places they've never been before, sometimes from hundreds of miles away. Scientists think they use the sun, landmarks, and Earth's magnetic field like an invisible map in their heads.

Feathered mail carriers. Before emails and phones existed, homing pigeons delivered important messages wrapped around their legs. A single pigeon could travel long distances and arrive home safely with its message intact.

War heroes. During World Wars, soldiers used thousands of pigeons to send messages across battlefields where radios didn't work. Some pigeons even won medals for delivering critical information that helped save lives.

Super smart memory. Homing pigeons remember every route they've ever flown and can recognize hundreds of different locations. Once they know a place, they never forget how to get back to it.

Champion flyers. These pigeons can fly 50 miles per hour and travel over 600 miles without getting tired or lost. Their wings and incredible brains make them some of nature's greatest adventurers.
