Super sweet smell. Hyacinths are famous for their strong, lovely fragrance that can fill an entire garden or room. Just a few flowers can make everything around them smell amazing.
Grow from bulbs. Hyacinths start as round, underground bulbs that you plant in fall. When spring arrives, a beautiful flower stalk shoots up from each bulb with tons of tiny flowers clustered together.
Rainbow of colors. Hyacinths come in purple, pink, white, blue, and red varieties. Some people even grow them indoors in water during winter to enjoy early spring blooms.
From the Mediterranean. These flowers originally grew wild in the warm regions around the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, including areas in Turkey and Palestine. Now people grow them all around the world.
Packed with tiny flowers. What looks like one big flower is actually dozens of tiny individual flowers all clustered tightly together on one stem. Each little flower forms a perfect star shape.
