Cool Facts
Wheels in a line. Inline skates have two to five wheels stacked in a single row on a metal or plastic frame under your boot. This straight-line design makes them way faster and easier to steer than old-fashioned roller skates where wheels sit side by side.
Speed and tricks. Because the wheels line up, you can zoom faster and spin sharper than on other skates. People use them for racing, doing tricks, and even playing hockey on wheels.
Custom built. Inline skates can be changed and modified depending on what you want to do with them. A racing skate looks totally different from a trick skate, just like how a mountain bike looks different from a road bike.
Comfy boot design. The whole skate is built into a boot that hugs your foot, kind of like a sneaker with wheels underneath. This keeps your ankle stable while you're gliding and turning.
