A mountain valley. Jiuzhaigou is a long valley in northern Sichuan Province in southwestern China, tucked among high mountains and filled with natural wonders.
Stunning clear lakes. The valley is famous for its incredibly transparent, colorful lakes that look almost magical because the water is so pure and clean.
UNESCO's special places. In 1992, UNESCO named Jiuzhaigou a World Heritage Site because it's so rare and beautiful, and in 1997 it became a World Biosphere Reserve.
Home to rare animals. The protected valley is one of the last places where endangered wildlife like giant pandas, red pandas, and snow leopards can live safely in their natural habitat.
Waterfalls everywhere. Jiuzhaigou has hundreds of waterfalls cascading down the mountainsides, creating one of the most dramatic water-filled landscapes in the world.
